SPORTS INNOVATION -
DEVELOPING A NEW GAELIC GAME

So I invented a Gaelic Game!
Working on Eir’s sponsorship of the Hurling Championship, where the Fastest Broadband sponsors Ireland’s fastest field game, I developed the core concept, #FastestWins.

As a bonus track in the presentation I suggested a new game that could be played as a training exercise and a competition.
I called it “PUC TAPA” (the fastest puc, or pass) where players at each corner of the field would pass the ball around a full pitch in the fastest time.

Client loved it, and the GAA officially endorsed it as a game to be played within clubs, and between clubs.
To launch it they agreed a competition.
Clubs across Ireland played Puc Tapa in a knockout competition and played the final in Croke Park in front of a full house on All Ireland semi-final day.
